About Surfside Backpackers Coogee Beach

Surfside`s atmosphere is so laid back its nearly horizontal but we are dedicated to providing our guests with a beach lifestyle you just can`t get in the city or its surrounding suburbs, after all you came to Australia to live on the beach not in the city.

We are without a doubt the most social backpackers in the area with large balconies to eat, drink & watch the ocean, the beach and the cliffs either side of our beautiful beach.

Beach life includes heaps of relaxing but is also filled with activities and Coogee Beach has just that. We are located right at the start of the famous Coogee to Bondi cliff walk/run. It`s frequented by locals & tourists mostly fitness freaks trying hard to stay fit.

We offer quality bunkroom and private room accommodation now with food and drinks with an awesome array of services and facilities plus so much sports equipment that our guests will be busy for weeks. We will even provide you with heaps of tea and coffee to keep you awake in order to complete your Coogee Beach experience.

Coogee Beach is a great place to eat, surf and swim. Visitors and locals enjoy the great hospitality and exciting night-life of the Coogee Bay Hotel, the Crown Plaza Coogee Beach and the Coogee Palace bars. While in Coogee Beach you must explore the beautiful coastal walks , the lush parklands with free outdoor barbeque and picnic facilities, the children`s play areas or you can just relax on one of the finest sand beaches in the southern hemisphere.

How To get There

Domestic or International Airport to Surfside Coogee Beach Our recommendation: Airport shuttle, safe, quick, best value. Order on booking form with acommodation or call us on arrival from airport on 02 9315 7888. Cheapest: Take 400 bus from Bay 10 (International) or U-turn pick up point (Domestic) to Randwick. Change to bus to Coogee Beach. Jump off at McDonald's. We are above McDonald's. Taxi: Safe, quick but most expensive. We are above McDonald's.We are above McDonald's. Central Station to Surfside Coogee Beach Take bus direct from Central Station to Coogee Beach. Jump off at McDonald's. We are above McDonald's Take any train from Platform 24 to Bondi Junction. Walk upstairs & take the 353 bus to Coogee Beach Jump off at McDonald's. We are above McDonald's.Jump off at McDonald's. We are above McDonald's. Circular Quay to Surfside Coogee Beach Take the 373 bus all the way to Coogee Beach. Jump off at McDonald's. We are above Mcdonalds. Driving from The West to Surfside Coogee Beach Follow any road into the City, use Cleveland Street to reach Anzac Parade, turn left onto Alison Road following signs to Randwick & Coogee Beach. Follow Alison Road, past Randwick Race Course, past Belmore Road, past Avoca St, turn right onto Carrington Street, Turn left onto Dolphin Street. When you reach Oval we are are diagonally opposite above Mcdonalds. Driving from the North to Surfside Coogee Beach Follow any road into the City crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge or Sydney Harbour Tunnel, stay on Eastern Distributor taking Randwick exit onto Anzac Parade, turn left onto Alison Road past Randwick Race Course, past Belmore Road, past Avoca St, turn right onto Carrington Street, Turn left onto Dolphin Street. When you reach Oval we are are diagonally opposite above Mcdonalds. Driving from the South to Surfside Coogee Beach Follow any road past Airports along Southern Cross Drive, (do not enter Eastern Distributor), stay in left lanes, turn right in Dacey Avenue, Go straight at next set of traffic lights onto Alison Road following signs to Randwick & Coogee Beach. Follow Alison Road, past Randwick Race Course, past Belmore Road, past Avoca St, Turn right onto Carrington Street, Turn Left onto Dolphin Street. When you reach Oval we are are diagonally opposite above Mcdonalds.

Terms & Conditions

Surfside Cancellation Policy: Due to busy periods all bookings will be charged in full +2% credit card fee once booking is received. This is non refundable if you change the date, cancel, fail to show or our accommodation is not what you expected. Please where possible re confirm by phone or email. Bookings made on the day of arrival or the day before arrival may be housed in Surfside Bondi Beach if Surfside Coogee Beach is full. Early Departures: If you leave Surfside before your specified departure date you cannot receive a refund on any payments. Security Deposits: We ask for a Security Deposit (commonly called a key deposit) from each guest. The amount is $30 per person. General terms & Conditions: 1. Surfside Backpackers cannot be responsible for any items lost or stolen during my stay. 2. Guests must take responsibility for all damages within Surfside including my room & its contents caused by myself or those with me or those I invite in. 3. Guests should know that check out time is 11am (charges apply if I check out after 11am) & that Surfside does not give refunds, breakups or transfers. 4. Guests should understand that Surfside has a no noise policy after 11pm. Failure will result in loss of deposit & I may be asked to leave without a refund. 5. Guests should understand that smoking anywhere inside I will lose my security deposit instantly & it will have to be repaid. 6. Guests should understand that the fire alarm call out charge is $550 split between the number of guests in the room if no one owns up. 7. Guests should understand that they risk eviction with no refund if I damage or break anything, smoke drugs anywhere onsite at any time, wet the bed or piss anywhere but the toilet, throw up anywhere but the toilet, keep guests/anyone awake at night, or just be a dick. 8. Surfside Backpackers Pty Ltd or RSDM Pty Ltd takes no responsibility for injuries/death to the undersigned of this form in respect of any activities such as surfing, body boarding, roller blading, snorkeling, body surfing or any ball sports whilst staying at Surfside Backpackers. We want you enjoy your stay here at Surfside, we are firm but fair and all conditions are there to keep the building safe, modern, clean, hygienic and most off all a fun, great place to be, live, stay, enjoy and eventually love.
